A TRIBUTE.

My dad was always looking for a way to give back to his community. This year, my sister and I took it to our childhood neighbourhood, and decided to do just that. Upon going house to house, eventually word got out.. and we would have kids anxiously waiting by their doors. One girl screamed from her house as we approached hers, "THEY'RE COMING! THEY'RE COMING! SANTA'S HELPERS ARE COMING!". The feeling was so surreal. Completely nostalgic of my father. I truly believe he was with us that day, because I swear, I could almost feel his big bear hugs around me.
My sister and I met these kids who were so grateful for their gifts, they started to cry. Which in turn, made us cry. We couldn't believe how 5 year olds could be that grateful for something that they felt that strong of an emotion. In summary, it was a complete success. More pics, hit the jump.

SEAN QUIGLEY.

I was sent this gem by Scarborough a couple weeks back, and have yet to share it. The wonderful thing about it!? Where do I begin?! Not only is this kid a stone fox, talented to the extreme, and made an amazing video.. BUT, he's from my hometown, and this video was also filmed in my hometown. Yes, I'm from Winnipeg. To all my American friends, you can start your snow Canada jokes now, but if this video doesn't make your heart all warm and gooey, I don't know what will..! So sweet!

AND JUST LIKE THAT,

christmas is over.

i felt really different this christmas, really.. truly.. i did. something about it was just off.. i didn't hate it, but i didn't love it either. it was the first christmas i went without seeing my mom. we had our christmas yesterday, which felt good, even though it was late.. but something about not seeing her on christmas day made me feel blah.
anyway, kind of glad it's over. i'm completely satisfied with my tims, my hellz bellz apparel, and my gift certificate for a tattoo.. and now that christmas is over.. you can officially start counting down the days to an even better day, my birthday.. and okay okay, new years too.
last year, my birthday got fucked up with some drama. so i'm really hoping for a good birthday this year.. i dunno what i wanna do for my birthday this year? i just want good music and all my friends.... soooo. yeah.

WRAPPING WITH RAPPING.

my boyfriend and i went in today.. christmas shopping. again. i fucking hate malls. i never really shop at malls. i think the two days that i have been to the mall this week, add up to make it a total of three times this year. i'm just not a mall person. cudder picked up himself the cool greys.. and since i burned my wallet christmas crazy'ing.. it looks like no cool greys for me. which is okay, i have the lows.. BUT FUCKTHAT ! ITS NOT OKAY! haha, i want shoes :( ugh. i'm so fucking poor now.. but i'm really excited for christmas. i got an early christmas/birthday gift in the mail today, which i will make a post about later.
til then.. my blackberry battery is broken, so you can basically only hear from me on my blog. leave a message(COMMENT) after the beep. i'm going to go wrap presents whilst listening to rap now. wrap rap! 36 chambers is my choice of dirty dirty today. see you next post. BEEP.
