IT'S CRAZY WHERE BLOGGIN HAS TAKEN ME..

As a blogger, I've always written for one thing, and one thing only. Myself. That isn't meant to sound ignorant, I just never envisioned where it could take me.

Here I am. Ten years into this madness and it has brought me such great opportunities, and such great people. One of those people, include Perla.

All the way from Houston, Texas..! A love for hip hop and music has taken us to both New York and California, and I owe it all to blogging. That shit is crazy to me! I'm so thankful for this girl. Take two writers who have the same love for music and you're on to something good.

Today is her birthday. Hectic schedules and living in different cities prevent us from seeing each other every day, but I can promise to keep her in my life forever. She is one of the most amazing people to ever grace my life. She has the soul of an angel, the mind of a creative, and most importantly, we click more than the hipsters who hit refresh on our websites.

If there is a heaven, it is definitely Coachella. Sure, it had a few people who were there "just to be there", but there were also some really amazing people who cared about music. That's what really mattered. So many amazing musicians and I'm so thankful I got to enjoy the experience. Shoutouts to the crew, shoutouts to Frank Ocean and Childish Gambino and Justice and Swedish House Mafia and M83 and Sbtrkt and Snoop and Dre and hologram Tupac and A$AP and pizza and wine and sunshine and tans AND EVERYTHING THAT COACHELLA BRINGS TO THE TABLE.

NO SLEEP AND A WHOLE LOTTA HYDRO..

and by hydro, I mean coffee and energy shots.. I'm freaking exhausted. I did so much today while living like a zombie.. and I haven't packed yet. I'm not so stoked on packing, ever.. really. BUT! At long last the day has arrived! I am officially off to see some of my top favorite musicians! SBTRKT! Justice! Frank Ocean! The Weeknd! Radiohead! Santigold! Childish Gambino! Noisia! SebastiAn! I've completely taken my focus off it considering my emotional/damaged state.. but now that the day has finally come, I am excited. I am excited I get to go with music lovers, and excited to be re-united with my love, Perla.

I know I'm still about a month behind in replying to e-mails and what not.. and I promise I will fully step up my game once I get back.. but for now, it's party time. For my cousin in the sky, and for my music loving self.
