As a really good friend, you almost cost me something that meant the world to me with an incriminating e-mail. I was however, able to get a word in. I need to re-evaluate our situation. I want you in my life, but only if it doesn't cost me mine.

I have four boys, and four girls. They are my world. I won't lose them for anything.

DON'T JUST WANDER BACK AND FORTH..

We're losing our ability to speak truth. If we've learned anything, it's that we get along best because we fully put ourselves out there. Flaws and all. No judgements, almost an understanding of mistakes.
I will always be there for you. There's something about our relationship that fully makes me want to take care of you. I don't feel the need to, I WANT to. Reality of it is, I can't fully do that. There's only so much I can do and say. All your choices are just that, your choices. I can only hope they get better daily. That's not an insult, I question my own choices a lot.

This year has been so fucked up.

I've finally grasped the fact that I can let things go a lot easier now, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Does that shit make me heartless, or grown?

I'm drowning in a pool of doing right and pleasing everyone. It feels good some days, but if I could take myself to the shallow end, maybe these deep waters wouldn't feel so cold.

TWO MORE WEEKS..

Two more weeks of freedom; then we gotta kiss our fun life good-bye. Half of me is really stoked since I haven't been in school since winter, the other half is just like, "UGGHHH BITCH CUNT FUCK I DON'T WANNA!!". So, you know. It's a good balance.
Three of the classes on my schedule I've already taken, so hopefully I can some how get out of them? Yeah, let's hope for that. Bitter sweet you guys, I'll miss you all. Ha.
Life has been super busy! Helping my dude out with a magazine, still editing, still really, really, behind in editing, still haven't painted, still loaftin'. When you're on your feet/looking at a computer screen for twelve hours, you don't want to paint like.. at all. In all honesty, I haven't painted since like the week I bought paint. Take your judgements somewhere else!

So basically, life is busy but I ain't getting shit done. HOORAH!

I'm not a Skrillex fan, at all. I will stay to watch a little bit of him, for reviewing purposes. Grimes, as I've blogged before, is completely over-rated in my eyes. The girl has a voice, but after two songs or so, I'm good. I AM REALLY STOKED for Pretty Lights. Second in excitement ranking to Diplo. I haven't listened to Tokimonsta at all so I won't say anything.. and the others I'm sure will be a fun time. I'm really all about Diplo and Pretty lights though. I'm excited! AH!

IT'S CRAZY WHERE BLOGGIN HAS TAKEN ME..

As a blogger, I've always written for one thing, and one thing only. Myself. That isn't meant to sound ignorant, I just never envisioned where it could take me.

Here I am. Ten years into this madness and it has brought me such great opportunities, and such great people. One of those people, include Perla.

All the way from Houston, Texas..! A love for hip hop and music has taken us to both New York and California, and I owe it all to blogging. That shit is crazy to me! I'm so thankful for this girl. Take two writers who have the same love for music and you're on to something good.

Today is her birthday. Hectic schedules and living in different cities prevent us from seeing each other every day, but I can promise to keep her in my life forever. She is one of the most amazing people to ever grace my life. She has the soul of an angel, the mind of a creative, and most importantly, we click more than the hipsters who hit refresh on our websites.

Every Canada Day, I get super emotional. This past week has been a real test to see just how well I can maintain tears and laughter.. at the same damn time;) It's so easy to admire someone who gave back to the community. Someone who put on a firework display, gave out free hot dogs and burgers, free drinks, simply because.. they loved the community, and this country. I'm even luckier to have had that person as my dad.



Canada Days without you just aren't the same. Forever remembering every single thing you gave me, every single firework, every single hot dog, every single smile.. and by smile, I mean the ones you gave to thousands. You did that! You showed such love to complete strangers, and I owe every bit of kindness in me, to that.

If I could ever become even just a speck of what you are.. if ever I am JUST that, just a speck, I am thankful. You are the most amazing man to ever have graced my life, and I miss you more today than ever.. these tears keep coming, but I use the moments to keep every memory alive.

Happy 145th birthday, Canada. The greatest country in the world.
