IN REVIEW
they came on pretty fucking early. i don't know what time it was cause i was wasted outta my face. at first i thought it was just psycho les by himself and i was pretty pissed, and then their dj started rapping.. dj was juju!? so that threw me off.. i've been to shows where the rapper didn't have a dj and dj'd their own shit.. the first time i saw atmosphere actually, slug dj'd a few of his own songs.. but ju did the whole show.. which is pretty fucking crazy. if i was a rapper, i'd do the same. fucka dj. lol
since i was drunk it's hard for me to really give this a fair judging. their set was longggggggg.. which i appreciated. and it should be long.. they've pretty much had at least one album a year since 1993 and they covered that. they jumped back and forth between old hits, to recent, and they performed nearest all their singles.. and when they did "props over here" it got the crowd bangin and that was sweet. it had to be one of the realest hip hop crowds i've ever seen at a show since atmosphere.. minus this one girl beside me who was grinding the speakers the whole night.. she kept screaming out random nothings at silences that no one could understand.
security tried kicking my cousin out at like half the set so that was a downfall, luckily she talked her way out of it.. and we got to chill with the beatnuts and some henny after the show so it went pretty fucking good for me.
there was no shiny lights, no crazy entrance, just two rappers who came into the building to bring this city some hip hop. plain and simple, and it couldn't have been any better. 9/10.
